Pave Rings

There are many styles of rings and ring settings available. If you are in the market for an engagement or wedding ring, speak to your jeweler about what you are looking for and what you can afford to spend. He or she will direct you towards the best jewelry piece for your money. One that he may show you is the pave engagement rings. A pave engagement ring or pave diamond ring is great for the young couple that wants to purchase a diamond or diamonds but has a limited pocketbook.

Pave diamond rings (pronounced pah-vay) are named after the pavement we have outdoors because the diamonds are set so close together that they have a shiny cobblestone appearance that resembles pavement. An advantage of diamond ring with pave setting is that it is economical because you can have many small, inexpensive diamonds clustered together giving the illusion of being one diamond. Such is the case with the Micro pave rings.

The pave diamond engagement ring may be one of two ways. One style is a single band, either thick or thin; with a row of diamonds such as you would see in the Micro pave engagement rings. Another style of the pave setting in engagement rings is having a couple of rows of diamonds close together all set at different angles. This style of pave split diamonds in rings makes them shine and sparkle under different lighting giving them the appearance of being more than they are.

Having a pave setting in an engagement ring will allow you to have more diamonds at a lesser cost and still have a beautiful ring. The diamonds are set in the ring by drilling small holes in the ring shank and inserting the pave diamonds. A pave antique engagement ring will look much larger and more valuable than it is with this setting. Another style you may see is an emerald and diamond pave ring. The diamond will be at the center of the ring with a group of pave emeralds surrounding it. This ring may be purchased with a single row of pave emeralds or with two rows, depending on the amount you want to spend. Sapphire diamond pave rings are often made the same way. You will only need a few sapphires, but with the pave affect, it gives the illusion of being so much more.

If you're looking for the perfect wedding or anniversary gift for that special someone, but don't have a lot to spend, a pave set diamond heart ring will have her thinking you spent a million bucks on her with the sparkle all those little diamonds will give.
